Lindsay Grome

Lindsay Grome joined the Lakeshore News team in September of 2006 as a general assignment reporter. She comes to Lakeshore Public Television after working at WOUB-TV and radio in Athens, Ohio. There she worked four years as a reporter, producer, weather forecaster and anchor as well as the mentor coordinator . While attending Ohio University, she also ventured into other areas of journalism as an intern with WCPO-TV in Cincinnati, Fiftyplus! Magazine and The Community Journal before deciding that broadcast journalism was more her cup of tea. She graduated from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism in June of 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and a Business minor.

In addition to her general assignment responsibilities, you can now find her delivering weekly health reports as well as regularly reporting on news at the statehouse in Indianapolis. It is through this job she has come to discover one of her true passions, that of producing and reporting long-form special reports. Her work has won her numerous awards, including an Indiana Broadcaster’s Spectrum Award.

Lindsay is originally from Cincinnati and is still a Reds, Bengals, Skyline chili and Graeter’s ice cream fan at heart. She currently resides in Valparaiso and on her time off she enjoys working out, volunteering in the community, going into the city, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Lindsay is always excited to meet and hear from the community she serves. Feel free to email her at lgrome@lakeshoreptv.com with any interesting story ideas.
